What is MAT?
MAT is a treatment for correcting muscular dysfunction in the body. Many times, due to individual factors, muscles become weakened, delaying their response time. This creates an increased demand on other muscles to compensate. Over time, these compensations can alter alignment in the joint, leading to joint instability and serious joint issues. This may eventually result in pain or even osteoarthritis. MAT strategically attempts to restore proper contraction of a muscle, thus providing the body to function the way it was designed to.
What is an MAT Specialist
Basically, we are mechanics for the muscles. We do not diagnose or treat pain directly, but instead focus on the primary root cause of one’s issues related to the muscular system. MAT Specialists use a specific accountability system that enables us to improve the integrity of the muscular system by:
- Measuring and comparing specific joint limits in the body.
- Testing specific muscles in order to reveal the dysfunction that could be causing the joint limits.
- Applying direct pressure to attachment sites of the tested muscles to re-establish their functionality and ability to perform more e
